Tom used the term decriptive rather than distinctive. I think the first distinctive begs the question “From who – or what?” Other Presbys – that’s the last specific in the paragraph, other Christian churchs – earlier in sentence, or who?

Then the second time when we say distinquishes (to me anyway) repeats the qustion – “From who?”

Thought – “…about PCM? No, we feel that beyond these beliefs there are values that would make distinquish us from othe (most other?)r churches in the greater Manchester community.

Solo means ‘alone’ – but not singular – it means alone as in only. If you’ve been aroung the Solas you know this – but is this confusing to anyone else but me?

I find …”helpful for helping…” to be awkward. “Reason is useful for helping…” isn’t any better is it? Whole last paragraph is too “cute” for me – But hey, that’s only me and my reasoning is not always a reasonable reason tor re-write the thoughts on reason.

To one o my other responses – is this the place to emphasis corporate worship/gathering?

No one gets lost at PCM. We care about you enough to note your absenses, pray for your needs and minister to you during the week – not just Sundays. Not sure how to wordsmith that idea.

I would alter”… fron the singing to the sermon…” – I think that only highlights two of the elements of worship and is both restrictive and omissive (is that a word?) – What about everything else – the greetings, the offering, Communion, etc.? I’d just omit or say “… everything we do in the time together is all…”

I love the use of “joy”. Its a word we avoid but really one we should haave as part of everyday life. We need more JOY!

Too brief – needs more said is this the place to add something about placing us in a church (as opposed to home church), This is a lifelong task – isn’t ended when we die.

Just feels like there’s something left out…

I would alter “still in the middleof” with living (And since we’re living the story…)

Agree with Tom’s thought on gloification – technical word. Does it work as – “… the resurrection of the dead which are God’s elect.” Even then elect has a very specific meaning.

I’d add something about eternity. “to live with Him forever and ever.”

I recommend switching the word “laity” for “congregation”. Maybe this is too picky but laity normally stands in a binary relationship with clergy, which here is contrasted with elders. While technically correct it seems to be less precise than it could be.
